Certain tumors, despite all the achievements of modern medicine, still have a poor prognosis. An example is glioblastoma, an aggressive brain tumor that rapidly spreads into surrounding tissue. Half of those affected die within 14 months, with only five percent living longer than five years.
Such rapid disease progressions cause much suffering, both for those affected and their families. Each of these deaths is one too many. Contribute to advancing research in this or another area to save lives.
