Thanks to people like you, important new insights into cancer prevention, diagnosis and therapy have been gained in recent years and many people have been helped.
Half a century ago, a diagnosis of childhood leukaemia meant certain death; today, four out of five children can be successfully treated. The survival prospects of numerous other cancer sufferers have also improved to a decisive degree over the last 50 years. All of this progress is based on intensive and sometimes painstaking research that continues to identify and test new treatment options. Every research success – even if it may seem small in itself – nourishes the hope that another milestone in the treatment of cancer will be reached.
This conviction drives the Swiss Cancer Research foundation to support promising research projects with the donations entrusted to it. Since 1991, it has invested in independent cancer research in Switzerland and supports research projects with very different orientations, methodologies and objectives. In this way, the foundation not only provides important new insights into the development and treatment of cancer, but also improves the quality of life of people with cancer and their families.
Your donation helps researchers in Switzerland to advance the fight against cancer. Thank you very much for your support!
